Dr. Amy Glaser-Carpenter is a board-certified family medicine physician dedicated to helping people live healthier, fuller lives. She believes the best healthcare begins with a strong relationship between doctor and patient—one built on trust, listening, and taking the time to truly understand each person’s unique needs.
After earning her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Midwestern University in Chicago, Dr. Glaser-Carpenter completed her family medicine residency at Community Health Network in Indianapolis, where she served as co-chief resident. She began her career as a National Health Service Corps Scholar, caring for patients in underserved communities in Colorado, and later served as Medical Director of Conejos County Hospital before returning to her hometown of Batesville, Indiana, in 2017.

In May 2018, she founded Carpenter Family Care with a simple vision: to make healthcare more personal, accessible, and affordable. By practicing Direct Primary Care, she is able to spend more time with patients, focus on prevention and wellness, and be available when they need her most—without the barriers and frustrations of the traditional insurance-based healthcare system.
Dr. Glaser-Carpenter enjoys partnering with patients to solve complex health concerns, navigate chronic medical conditions, and create practical, individualized plans that help them reach their health goals. Her approach combines evidence-based medicine with additional training in lifestyle medicine, mind-body medicine, and plant medicine, allowing her to care for the whole person—not just a diagnosis.
Whether helping someone improve their daily health, manage a chronic illness, or uncover the cause of a long-standing medical mystery, Dr. Glaser-Carpenter is committed to providing compassionate, thoughtful care centered on each patient’s goals and values.
